Candidacy
- Full-time and part-time students are eligible to run for the AAGA Board of Directors.
- Candidates may only accept the nomination for one position. Read about each position here.
- Any active Arts Administration student can nominate all prospective AAGA Board candidates.
- Nominations must be emailed to AAGA@drexel.edu.
- All nominations will be posted to the AAGA Blog by the AAGA President.
- AAGA members will use the “Comment” section provided beneath the nominated candidates to second the nomination: “I second Jane Doe for the position of President.”
- All candidates must be seconded in order to advance in the election process.
- Each candidate will write a platform describing his or her qualifications and goals for the position. Platforms must be emailed to AAGA@drexel.edu, and will be posted on the AAGA Blog once the candidate has secured the nomination.
- All current students are eligible to vote.
- Winning candidates will be determined by a majority vote. If only one candidate is nominated for a position, a vote will not be necessary. In the event of insufficient candidates, the current President will appoint students to open positions.
- Voting will begin once all platforms have been posted.
- AAGA members can cast their vote via a SurveyMonkey link that will be emailed to them.
- The AAGA President will tally the votes and post the winning candidates to the AAGA blog.
