Candidacy
  • Full-time and part-time students are eligible to run for the AAGA Board of Directors.
  • Candidates may only accept the nomination for one position. Read about each position here.
Nominations
  • Any active Arts Administration student can nominate all prospective AAGA Board candidates.
  • Nominations must be emailed to AAGA@drexel.edu.
  • All nominations will be posted to the AAGA Blog by the AAGA President.
  • AAGA members will use the “Comment” section provided beneath the nominated candidates to second the nomination: “I second Jane Doe for the position of President.”
  • All candidates must be seconded in order to advance in the election process.
  • Each candidate will write a platform describing his or her qualifications and goals for the position. Platforms must be emailed to AAGA@drexel.edu, and will be posted on the AAGA Blog once the candidate has secured the nomination.
Voting
  • All current students are eligible to vote.
  • Winning candidates will be determined by a majority vote. If only one candidate is nominated for a position, a vote will not be necessary. In the event of insufficient candidates, the current President will appoint students to open positions.
  • Voting will begin once all platforms have been posted.
  • AAGA members can cast their vote via a SurveyMonkey link that will be emailed to them.
  • The AAGA President will tally the votes and post the winning candidates to the AAGA blog.
